U3A Allotment

We have been waiting for the weather to break and give us some rain, but alas we cannot wait any more, we have sown some early potatoes, which you will see in the following pictures,also we have runner beans in together with tomato plants, cucumbers carrots, beetroot, parsnips ,leeks, we also have some herbs. The watering has been done mostly by Diane, but she has now gone on holiday, so we have to pray for rain or get a rosta made out.It has been a good experiment so far with everbody chipping in to get things moving, we now want to push on to get the rewards of fresh vegatables Diane will be back soon from holiday and will keep you up to date with the next report.
