November on the allotment

Most of the recent work on the allotment has been clearing the beds & tidying up.
The runner bean pods have been left to dry & the seeds saved for next year. Horse manure has been spread over the beds to feed the soil. Turnips, parsnips some late carrots, leeks & spinach still remain in the ground & we hope to have some brussels sprouts for Xmas dinner. Garlic, Sweet Williams & a few cabbage have recently been planted and we have had a meeting to decide what & where things will be planted next year. As the photo shows, we have had some lovely late Autumn days recently - the downside being the grass around the beds has still had to be cut.
